Father Cleans to Send Kids to Elite College
It’s in a parent’s nature to provide and do right by their children from the moment they are born and with Father’s Day just around the corner, we want to appreciate the great job fathers are doing around the world, and this one particular dad has gone above and beyond for his children’s education.
For the past fifteen years 62 year old Fred Vautour, father to five children, has been scrubbing, mopping and polishing Boston College’s Robsham Theatre in order to get his children into the prestigious establishment.
With help from college’s employee scheme he has been able to send all of his children there for $3,000 a year instead of the $66,005 it would have been. The financials may have been covered but their acceptance was down to their own merit, and Fred’s work was not in vein as each acceptance letter landed on the doorstep.
Throughout the fifteen years Fred has had the pleasure to watch Alicia, Amy, Michael, John and Tom graduate from the College knowing he has given them the best start in life he can.
Their graduation certificates are sure to sit alongside their acceptance letters on what Fred calls his ‘BC wall’ in his home!
