I purchased the "original" weight which appears to be 100% man-made compared to the merino wool found in the Smartwool products. I'll have to see if this makes a difference. The garments does feel quite soft and slightly stretchy. Normally wear a size small but decided to size up to a medium as the reviews indicate this runs small."
